About Herberger Theater Center
The Herberger Theater Center is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.
We are Phoenix’s center stage, engaging the community through diverse arts experiences that ignite emotion, stimulate conversation, and inspire connections with the arts.
The Herberger Theater Center was conceived as a pivotal piece in the redevelopment and revitalization of downtown Phoenix. Built in 1989 to support and foster the growth of performing arts in Phoenix as a performance venue and arts incubator, the Herberger Theater Center has contributed to the cultural and educational development of the Valley. Each year, approximately 160,000 patrons, including 30,000 school-aged children share the unique experience of live performing arts.
The Herberger Theater Center is proud to be home to six resident companies:
Arizona Theatre Company
Center Dance Ensemble
Arizona Broadway Theatre
Valley Youth Theatre
and many other local and touring theater companies!
Arts Education and Outreach Programs
The Herberger Theater Center has made a strong commitment to sustain its outreach programs and collaborations for youth by providing kids with an opportunity to experience the beauty and magic of the theater. Each year, thousands of youth have a chance to take the stage and shine in the spotlight. For information, on the Arts Education and Outreach Programs click here.
